GREAT NEWS!!

I just got back from a visit with the midwife and they have decided to take me off of bedrest (at least until my next appointment)!!!! I'm so happy right now! At first she wasn't going to change anything and they talked about inducing me at 39 weeks, but I am not favorable for an induction at all right now. As I was at the desk making my next appointment she came back to me with the great news. I guess she had talked to the doctor and looking at my blood pressure levels at home along with my lab results from the past 6 weeks, they are okay with it. This should help speed things along and will hopefully get me more favorable for a possible induction next week!

They still don't want me going back to work (maybe to keep the stress levels down) and she said I probably only have a week left anyway. So, I will happily work part-time from home and finally feel like I can get some stuff ready for the baby until my appointment next week. When I go in next week they might set an induction date and there is always the chance they could put me back on bedrest. I won't worry about that for now though.....I'll just enjoy my week of freedom!!!!!

More Paintings

Baby Sully has inspired me to try and sell some paintings on the side for nurseries. I've been toying with this idea for a while now, but bedrest has really given me a chance to focus more on completing some paintings....I even created a logo! I'm working on getting some samples ready and will try to sell custom nursery paintings on Etsy.com (I'll match nursery bedding, colors, themes, etc). Julie, my friend and old manager, asked me to do some paintings to match her baby girl's bedding (I had already painted some trucks for her a while ago to match her baby boy's bedding). She is an extremely talented photographer (Julie, hope you don't mind me posting your website- www.poshpearphotography.com) and in exchange for the paintings we are going to get a free photo shoot with our baby once he or she makes an appearance! This was also a great way for me to get some samples ready to post on Etsy. Let me know what you think!

My next project is a monkey painting that I will eventually try to sell as well. I'm already in love with this monkey!! I just LOVE painting!

Finally, here is a picture of me at 37 weeks.

37 Weeks!

I am officially 37 weeks today! Ever since I got put on bedrest, I have not been the best at keeping up with my belly shots. Here are a few recent ones....
31 weeks (right before bedrest)
36 weeks
My blood pressure was high again on Monday....same old story! I can't believe I have been on bedrest for almost 5 weeks now. Only a few more to go if the baby doesn't arrive before then!

Good Baby!

I don't think sully likes to get in trouble because he or she has already flipped back to head down! I went in for my normal testing and they took a peak for me....hurray! I thought I felt a major flip on Monday after I got back from the hospital, but I was trying to avoid getting too excited before I knew for sure. Thank you for being a good baby again!

Naughty Baby

Baby sully has been very naughty over the past week after being such a good baby for so long. At some point between my ultrasound last Monday and my ultrasound today, my baby decided that it no longer wanted to be head down and turned breech (feet down)! At this point, the baby should be head down and they were shocked it moved this late after being head down for so long. I hope this isn't a sign that our baby will misbehave in the outside world ;)

Please cross your fingers that baby sully will turn back on his/her own or else it will make delivery more difficult. Other than that, my protein levels have held steady and my blood pressure was looking okay today. Either the bedrest is helping or I really don't have anything wrong with me.....I'll take either.

Baby Shower & Lots of Pictures!

I had a great weekend with family visiting and a baby shower! My sisters, Monica and Sara, along with my mom threw me a great baby shower. Monica and Sara travelled long distances by car to be here and Bob's mom flew out from NJ! Thanks for all the work you guys put into it and thanks to everyone for showing up. We got some amazing gifts (everyone was way too generous)!!! Bob's mom may have thought she was taking a vacation by coming out here, but instead she did a lot of laundry, dishes and cooking for us. We will miss her terribly as she was a huge help for me and Bob. I'm still on modified bed rest and I think they are afraid to ever take me off since my blood pressure is so high when I'm at the hospital. I think that I have finally convinced them that it is not that high at home though (they tested my personal blood pressure cuff), so they are not as freaked out about me :) Good news is that my protein levels did not go up this week, so they are not as concerned about me developing pre-eclampsia. Only one more week and I'm considered full term! Yikes! Here are lots of pictures from this weekend's festivities. Thanks again for all your generosity!!!

Notice I was only standing for some group photos!

I couldn't help but post pictures of my adorable nieces and nephews who made the long trip out for the baby shower. Baby Sully is going to have lots of little ones to play with over holidays!
