Erin's Baptism & Early Thanksgiving Celebration

Erin was baptized this past weekend and had the fortune (or misfortune) of meeting all of her cousins, aunts and uncles on the McGregor side of the family. Lets just say that it was a mad house, but I think Erin loves her loud and crazy family. The baptism was a success and Erin was a doll in front of the entire church full of people. Here are some pics from this weekend as well as a video of us trying to take a picture of Busia and Grandpa Bob with all of their grandkids (notice Erin just chilling even with all the noise).
I just love this picture! I didn't capture this part in the video, but Greggers falling over is priceless. Where were you on that one Grandpa Bob?

What a difference 9 weeks makes!

Wow, Erin has changed quite a bit in just 9 weeks. I have been meaning to upload videos for a while now......we only have about 100 so far.

This first video shows a few clips of Erin in her first few days. All of these clips show her crying, but she rarely cried. I just thought her little high pitched screams were too cute.

The second video is from the last few days. She is pretty fascinated by her own voice and is starting to use it more often. Enjoy!

Stay-At-Home Mommy

That's right, I'm officially a stay-at-home mommy. When I first found out I was pregnant I knew it would be hard to go back to work. After Erin was born, I realized it would be even more difficult than I thought. I was enjoying her way too much and I knew it would be hard to trust someone else to take care of her and give her all the attention she deserves.

After a few short weeks, I saw how quickly she was changing and how much I was influencing her. That is when I knew going back to work full time would be impossible. After much debating, crying and stressing, I finally made the decision not to go back. I am soooo lucky to have a husband who supports my decision and tells me I should not feel guilty for wanting to stay home. It was tough for me to let my job go just like that, but I knew it was the decision I had to make. I will miss all of the people I worked with and was so impressed by how much they understood and supported my decision.

Now I am lucky enough to hang out with Erin every day. I got to see her first smile a few weeks ago and now I know I won't miss out on her other "firsts". Even though I feel guilty at times for not making money, I know that I will NOT regret my decision. Erin deserves to have my full attention and I know I will not be able to get back this precious time with her. Thank you, thank you, thank you to all my family and friends who helped me make this difficult decision!

First Halloween!

Erin was supposed to be a gorilla this year (since the Denver Gorilla Run was on Halloween), but apparently they don't make gorilla costumes smaller than 6 months. Luckily we had a hand-me-down from Tim & Andrea! Our friend Katie also made us the adorable pumpkin hat.

Erin has recently found that she can suck on her fist.
