Mom-tography Workshop

I got the best birthday present ever!  I attended a mom-tography workshop hosted by a couple of local photographers I love (Jamie Frayser Photography and Precious Encounters Photography)!  I have always wanted to learn more about my camera I got a couple of years back for my birthday and this was just what I needed.  It was focused on getting your camera out of auto and into manual....all those who attended were moms wanting to take better pictures of their kids.  I have SO much to learn, but I also know I learned more in those 4 hours than I did in 2 years on my own.  So much fun!  Can't wait to learn more.  I feel like I have been bitten by the photography bug ;)  Here are some pics I took at the second half of the session....they had us bring in our own kiddos to practice on.

Mom, I am done!

White Belt

Erin was promoted to a white belt after completing her karate enrichment program at school. So proud of you, Erin!  Your karate moves were super cute!

Trick-Or-Treat

What an awesome Halloween the kids had!  The fun started on Wednesday when Erin had her parade at school, class party, trick-or-treating at Daddy's work, and then finally....the Monster Mash.  A school dance for Elementary school?  It was so cute!  Luckily, Erin had the next 2 days off to recover and prep for the real deal.  Trick-or-treating.  We first stopped by a Halloween party at her friend's house and then headed over to Tejon St.  I know I've said this before, but our neighborhood is the best!  People go all out over here.  The kids loved it, but I am worried a few of the displays may give them nightmares in the future.  Oops!

Fall in Full Swing!

The fall festivities are officially underway!  Last week was awesome.  The kids did their usual leaf jumping in the yard, we all had a blast at the pumpkin patch, and we also enjoyed the Patty Jewett neighborhood kids parade.  Scotty's costume was a hit and Erin makes a beautiful Sofia the First.  Now we will dress the kids up for the third and final time tomorrow for the actual event....Halloween!  Oompa Loompa Doop-a-dee-doo....that song has been running non stop in my head for a month now ;)
