Scotty's Baptism

Scotty's baptism extravaganza was a success!  We were so happy that Pat was able to fly out to Colorado for the baptism, but Beth had to stay behind with the kids.  At least we have representation from one of the Godparents (and we know it was a long flight for a short visit)!!  The Henkenius clan made the drive from Lincoln to spend 4th of July and the rest of the holiday week/weekend with us!  We are especially thankful since they had to miss out on fireworks with the fire ban in Colorado.  Unfortunately, the Snyder clan had to cancel their trip after several signs from God that they should not come.  We appreciate their effort, but most definitely missed them.  We missed Nate as well, but we will get to see him when we head to Chicago in late August.

We made sure to visit some of the attractions in Denver and Colorado Springs (aka Casa Bonita and Santa's Workshop at the North Pole) during their visit.  I had not been to either of these places in a LONG time, but going there did bring back some wonderful childhood memories.  Erin was terrified at Casa Bonita, but loved all of the rides at the North Pole....go figure!  I'm sure if we head back to either place in the future, she will have a blast!

Scotty's baptism was wonderful and we felt so lucky to have so much of our family there to celebrate with us.  He is one lucky boy to have so many people around him that love him :)
Erin loved riding the cars at the North Pole.  She was just getting warmed up here.
Again!  Again!  Luckily, this girl does not get motion sickness!
Cousins getting ready for some rides at the North Pole.  Oops, I cut Scotty's stroller out of the picture :(
Riding the carousel with Uncle Pat.
Finally, one section of Casa Bonita that Erin liked.  Riding the train with Sally!
